Memorial Day Traditions: A Simple 3D Printed Flag Holder for Graveside Flags

Memorial Day is a time of remembrance. Across the United States, families, veterans’ groups, churches, Scouts, and volunteers continue the tradition of caring for veterans cemeteries by cleaning markers, placing flowers, and decorating graves with small American flags.

It is a simple act, but a meaningful one. A small flag beside a grave reminds us that service and sacrifice are not forgotten.

Many graves already have a good way to display a flag, such as an existing holder, veteran marker, or cemetery-provided location. When one is not available, a simple 3D-printed flag holder can be a useful alternative.

We found this practical design on Printables for attaching a small flag to a headstone, marker, or monument:

Where cemetery rules allow it, a lightweight printed holder can often be attached with removable command adhesive or carefully applied hot glue. The goal is to hold the flag securely for the holiday while allowing it to be removed afterward without drilling, permanent fasteners, or residue.

Please check cemetery rules before attaching anything to a marker or monument. Respect includes both placing the decoration and leaving the cemetery clean when the holiday has passed.

From all of us at JaegerTech, Happy Memorial Day. Whoever you are remembering today, we wish you peace and warm memories.
